Jenny Saldaña

"During a visit to the doctor in January of 2006, Jenny Saldaña was given a diagnosis that would change her life: she had breast cancer. Although scared by the unknown, Jenny was surrounded by loving friends and family who encouraged her not to give in to the disease. Jenny had been fortunate enough to spend her life up to that point doing what she loved: earning a B.A. in Theatre Arts, writing, producing and acting. By God’s grace, Jenny is now "cancer free and loving it." She now uses her experience to influence her art and by extension influence lives. She has started a non-profit production company which benefits the American Cancer Society and is currently touring colleges to educate and inspire others through her funny, touching and very real story of survival. She is an example of strength to us all as she makes every day an opportunity to choose courage in the face of despair."
